At O'Connells we pride ourselves on the quality and freshness of
our fish. Our customers include Cork's finest restaurants, and visitors
to the city as well as Cork's discriminating and demanding food
lovers.
Between 60 and 70 varieties of fish are available in our stall.
Live lobsters can be bought straight from the tank, as well as crayfish
when in season. We have a splendid selection of prawns: Dublin bay
prawns, tiger prawns and shrimps.
O'Connell's smoked salmon is prized Donegal salmon, and local
Castletownbere salmon when in season is smoked for us locally.
We collect our white fish straight from the trawlers, which is
why it's amongst the freshest fish you can find in Ireland.
The ports that service us include Union Hall and Castletownbere
in West Cork, along with Donegal. Fresh fish is also imported, so
shoppers can have a choice of fish such as snapper, bass, bream
and carp, along with the cod, haddock, salmon, mackerel and all
the other wonderful fish that come from Ireland's Atlantic waters.
